Hoarder of hobbies, making a whole life out of them.
Quilts get stitched between canning batches. The garden doesn’t wait for a blog post to get written. This is homestead life as it actually runs: hands full, seasons turning, nothing performed for a camera.
Hey, I’m Taimi
This place started as a garden that got out of hand and turned into a way of living. Now there’s a flock to let out at dawn, a dog named Kairo who thinks the walk is the whole point of the day, a quilt frame that’s rarely empty, and a kitchen that runs on whatever the season actually gave me, not what I planned for.
I don’t keep this life on a schedule so much as a wheel. Something is always turning over, being put up, or coming back around, and most of what I write here is just paying attention to that. Not a performance of the simple life. Just the life, written down as it happens.
If you’re already doing some version of this, or wish you were, you’ll probably feel at home here.

The Wheel of the Year
Life here doesn’t run on a calendar so much as a wheel of eight turning points. Right now we’re past Lughnasadh, deep in harvest, and starting to feel the Autumn Equinox coming.
